After my love and over-joy for Mozilla’s Ubiquity, here’s another Mozilla project that I feel energized about. It’s called Bespin. Bespin is an online IDE. Currently it only supports CSS/HTML/JavaScript syntax highlighting, but its architecture allows for further additions. If you have worked with vi or vim, Bespin UI will look very familiar. It is almost as if Vi team made a Web version of the software.

I am looking forward to a beta and post-beta launch. It is going to be EPIC! If you would like to try it out, feel free to create an account and try your hand at it. It is sure to amaze and entertain your kindling mind.

Here’s a cheer for the first step towards a usable and free online IDE.
