Well, kind of. You do not get a certificate/diploma at the end. Stanford Engineering Everywhere program has started offereing its courses online for free of cost. Remember what MIT had done years ago by launching Open Course Ware (ocw)? Looks like Stanford has started a similar service, although the initial offering is quite small. I guess something’s better than nothing and better late than never. (I love cliches, especially when they’re true.)
