Microsoft just gave me a pleasant surprise!
I had heard/read some good press about IE8. I was bored today and decided to download an app I hadn’t used it in a long time. So I thought, hey.. Microsoft has been making some noise these days, and I am loving the new Zune 3.0. I wonder what else they’re upto? Went to Microsoft.com and got myself an installment of the IE8 beta 2. And boy am I pleasantly surprised! They’ve really hit the nail on this release. The UI is just crisp and clean. On-demand favorites and links are much welcomed. It’s only been less than 15 minutes, and I’m loving this software. Two of my favorite features are Web Slices and Accelerators. I’ll add some of my favorite slices and accelerators in near future. Wow, Microsoft, wow. You seem to be working hard at this now. On a side note, I welcome the mother ship’s decision to remove those photo/video/email apps from Windows 7. Another step in the right direction.
